Smartphones are optimized to function smoothly, no matter what you’re doing. At least, most of them are made that way. In this process, they try to kill the apps to save battery. The issue with this is, when an app is killed, you might not receive any notification when you’re expecting an important message from that app.

Go to Settings – Battery – Power Usage – App of your choice – Select the option ‘Run in background’
