The recent global release Motorola Edge+ has finally been announced in India. They’re calling it the Fastest, Loudest, Boldest. So, you can expect a good processor, good speakers, and impressive features. It also comes with Endless Edge display, a pretty high resolution camera, a massive battery, etc. As you might’ve already read here.
Endless Edge Display
- Motorola Edge+ comes with Motorola’s latest Endless Edge AMOLED screen, which covers 90° around both sides and measures 6.7″, which would be massive and immersive viewing experience.
- It has 90Hz refresh rate and its aspect ratio is 21:9. It also has HDR10+ support.
- It comes with small punch hole for front camera along with minimal bezels, giving it a screen to body ratio of 93%.
- Their new software feature My UX has Edge Touch, which allows users to customize device further. One can swipe up or down on the edge to pull down notification or switch apps.
- In new Moto Game time, gamers can turn the phone sideways to have two additional, customizable buttons on the top edge, mimicking the console like button placement. This is fantastic for the console gamers who want to use that in their mobile games as well.
Fast Processor
- Edge+ comes with Snapdragon 865 processor, with 12GB DDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. All of this enables 30% increased max bandwidth and lower battery drain, which in turn helps the 5G experience to be smooth.
- Their 5G antenna array connects to wide range of sub-6GHz frequencies for global 5G compatibility and future speeds of over 4Gbps. It supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.
108MP Triple Camera Setup
- A 108 megapixel main camera is what Edge+ boasts of, which sounds ridiculous. That’s too many megapixels for a smartphone camera. Or any camera? Accompanying it, there’s 8 megapixel telephoto lens and 16 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, which also doubles as macro lens with Macro Vision.
- Video recording supports up to 6K resolution, which is incredible. It has “industry’s most advanced video stabilization”, in their own words, with dual OIS on main and telephoto cameras, and also comes with OIS and EIS for better low light video quality.
Massive Battery
- It packs 5,000 mAh battery, which is definitely appreciated as this phone has features that drain battery easily. It also comes with TurboPower charger and wireless charging.
- You can also share your power with other devices with wireless power sharing.
Software
- “Near stock Android Experience”, with Android 10, Moto Edge+ also offers My UX, using which people can customize their phone to their liking.
- It’s also expected to receive at least two Android OS upgrades.
Loudest Audio
- Waves provided the precision audio tuning to what supposedly are: “Most powerful stereo speakers in a smartphone ever”. As Motorola is claiming to have powerful and loud stereo sound system in Edge+, it gears up to be a great media consumption and gaming device.
It’s available in Smokey Sangria and Thunder Grey color options. It is priced at INR 74,999 and pre-booking starts on Flipkart and offline retail stores from 19th of May. It’s likely to go on sale starting 26th of May. Motorola also announced a limited period launch offer of INR 7,500 instant discount/cashback on ICICI credit cards.
