Hi there guys I am Nikhil from Greedytech and this is a quick comparison between Coolpad Co ol 1 and Lenovo P2
Let’s see the similarities first
Both have dual Sim support, with ,Dual 4g, volte support for Sim 1, We have all the basic sensors, including led notification light, otg support, Gyroscope to watch vr content, A 5.5inch fad display
, a Similar audio experience on headset and both do an ok job
Now let’s see where each phone excels
I’ll Start with P2,
- You get a Super Amoled Display, which is amazing, and has better brightness levels,
- Cool1 has an ips display, and it’s brightness levels are below average
- You get a massive 5100mah battery, with fast charging
- It can be charged completely in 90 minutes, and will give you 10+ hours of screen on time
- Cool1 comes with a 4000mah battery, it gives you a screen on time of 6-8 hours depending on your usage,
- There is not fast charging technology and it takes 2.5 hours to charge
- In terms of battery life you can consider it as a tie,
- Because most of the time, if a phone lasts more than a day, it’s more than enough
- But P2 has the addition advantage of fast charging and it has a micro Usb port, so you don’t need to buy any new cable or it isn’t a problem , if you forget your charger while travelling
- Cool1 has a type c port, it’s future proof, but now, you need to buy an adapter for otg pen drives, and you need to carry the cable in case you are travelling, it’s more about convenience
- P2 comes with a power saving mode, and a dedicated button to enable it
- Once you enable this mode, , you can’t do anything except for making calls and mgs,
- It kills all the background running processes and gives you basic features and keep your phone alive for a very long time, it’s a great features to have when you are low on battery
- Cool1 doesn’t have anything like this
- P2 comes with a super responsive UI
- Now ,having a better processor without proper software is like a useless sports car
- It’s the exact situation here
- Though P2 comes with a mid-range processor it is able to perform better than cool1
- You can check those results in my speed test
- A fast finger print scanner
- It is as fast as other flagships, but in comparison with cool1, it’s super-fast,
- Because , cool1 finger print scanner is slow, when the display is off
- More software features
- Both the phones have a skin on the top, but Lenovo offers way more features than cool1,
- P2 has all the features found in Cool1 and offers a lot more than that , like dual apps, vr mode, secure zone, finger print gestures and a lot more
- Check my video on best features of Lenovo p2, for more info on that
- Better design and build
- Just based on the looks, both phones have similar build, of metal back with plastic strips, but cool1’s design is flawed
- Volume buttons on cool1 are not very clickable, and it’s slightly uncomfortable and hard to press them
- P2 doesn’t have any suck flaws and it feels much better to hold
- Now design and build are subjective, so you can take my opinion with a pinch of salt
- Louder speaker
- Both the phones have a Mona speaker under the right grill, and comparatively
- P2’s speaker is much louder than cool1
- Better gaming experience
- Now Cool1 definitely has better cpu and gpu,
- Cool1 will give you better visuals, but it heats up a lot, the maximum I have seen was 56 degrees,
- P2 , has a decent GPU, I didn’t notice any lag while playing games, and it doesn’t heat up as much as cool1, maximum I have seen is 44 degrees
- Sd card support
- P2 comes with a hybrid Sim slot, so you can insert 2 nano Sims or a nano Sim and a sd card
- On Cool1 we don’t have any option to insert sd card
- So if you want additional storage, the P2 is the only choice among the two
Cool1
- It has a powerful processor
- Cool1 comes with a sd652 processor and P2 comes with a sd625 chip, and these are the benchmark scores
- Now I already said P2 has a much responsive ui,
- So where will cool1 excel?
- That might be your question
- Once you install more than a 100apps, p2 will start to slow down, especially while you try to switch between apps,
- But that doesn’t happen with cool1,
- Besides that, cool1 will be faster at installing and uninstalling apps, rendering videos basically anything that requires lot of processing
- Way better cameras
- This is the strong point of Cool1
- Cool1s cameras are simply much better than P2, it offers a classic mode to take black and white images, a slur mode and 4k video recording
- ill post a camera comparison soon,
- Btw p2 does a decent job, too, but it’s nowhere near cool1 and doesn’t justify the price
- Ir blaster
- Cool1 comes with a Ir blaster and we can use it to control your ac or TV or any gadget with a infra-red receiver
- This is something, completely missing in p2
- Comparatively P2 has NFC, which is missing in Cool1
- More ram
- Cool1 sold online comes with 4gb ram and because of that it offer better multi-tasking
- Even 3gb of ram is good on P2 , but in relative terms ,4gb will always be better than 3gb
And that’s all cool1 has
Without proper software, even a supercomputer is useless, That’s what I think
Irrespective of what’s under the hood.,P2 delivers a much more responsive UI than cool1
If you are a regular user, who wants a good phone , with a huge battery, great display, loud speaker and most importantly a very responsive phone, but P2
If you want better cameras and performance, then buy Cool1
If it was me, I’ll pick P2 over cool1 anyway, Even if the software was improved on cool1 , I don’t want to use it because of the volume buttons and a slow fingerprint scanner
I know P2 is too Pricey, but for the experience it offers, it’s definitely worth it, And among these two phones, I’ll say, spend some more get P2, an ignore the difference in cameras Coz you can’t get everything in a single phone
So what will you do???
