Blow after blow, Huawei is getting major setback in lot of angles. After an agreement to build chip manufacturing plant in USA, Taiwan based Chip maker TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company) stopped taking orders from Huawei, in order to adhere to USA’s export regulations. This does not impact the chips already in production process, but they won’t take any new orders, with September 14 being the deadline to sever ties with Huawei. While Huawei declined to comment, TSMC said it doesn’t reveal order details and said this report was purely market rumour.
Huawei obviously didn’t appreciate the move and said it’d have a impact on a wide number of global industries. We can’t predict exactly how this move would go down in future, its repercussions that can’t be tracked across so many segments of the world like, economic, political and what would this mean to other companies that are in any kind of relation to Huawei. We’ll have to see how it unfolds, as along with the on-going pandemic, future does look bleak for Huawei.
