ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organization, recently achieved a major success by completing the Gaganyaan Test Flight Abort Mission.
This mission aimed to test the TVD 1 vehicle, also known as the Test Vehicle Development Flight One. In their second attempt, ISRO nailed it!
The first attempt didn’t go as planned due to an engine ignition problem, but they fixed it and got it right the second time. The core purpose of this mission was to demonstrate that astronauts in the spacecraft can safely escape even at supersonic speeds, and it was a resounding success.
