Hey, there! Here’s a list of the best features of Honor 9 Lite.
1. Honor Full View Display: It has a massive 5.65 inch display with FHD+ resolution in 18:9 aspect ratio with smaller bezels on the top and bottom. It has the form factor of a Pixel 2 or the Moto G5 Plus, that comes with a 5.2inch display.
Earlier there were 2 black bars while watching videos on YouTube, but on the latest YouTube app, we can do a pinch gesture to zoom in, so it feel more immersive.
2. Cameras: Now the next best thing about this phone is the cameras. It has duals cameras on the front and back and offers us some unique features.
○ Portrait mode for the front and rear cameras: These are the sample shots taken in portrait mode using front and rear camera:
Obviously it’s not perfect, but does a pretty good job with edge detection. Surprisingly it does a better job with the front portrait mode than the rear one.
○ Wide aperture mode: Portrait mode works only on human and that too if it can see the face. So in cases where you want to take different shots with blur effect, we have the wide aperture mode, where we can change the aperture from 0.95 to 16.
Changing the aperture changes the background blur effect and you can even change the focus point and blur intensity after you take a picture, which is super handy.
○ Moving picture mode: The phone records few seconds as video every time you take a picture. It’s a features copied from the iPhone, and you can get it on any phone with MX camera app.
3. Premium Glass body: This phone has a 2.5D glass on the front and back. It is currently the cheapest phones in the Indian market that comes with a complete glass design on front and rear for as low as 11,000 rupees.
4. Wi-Fi Bridge: A unique feature that allows you to share your existing Wi-Fi connection to multiple devices. Your phone acts like a hotspot using the current Wi-Fi connection. This is useful if you travel a lot and use public Wi-Fi connections.
5. Pro Video Recording: Unlike any other phone in its price segment, this phone offers pro video recording, where we can change focus point, color balance, exposure, ISO while recording video. For people who record lot of videos, this will be a useful feature.
6. App Twin (Dual Apps): It is the same features called as dual apps on Xiaomi phones with limited functionality. You can use 2 versions of the same app, on the same phone. You can have 2 WhatsApp accounts and 2 Facebook accounts. As of now you use it only for a limited number of social media apps.
7. Fingerprint gestures: We get a lot of fingerprint gestures. Once you enable this, you can take pictures using the fingerprint scanner. It’s easier to take selfies this way. You can pull down the notification bar by swiping down on the fingerprint scanner. You can even answer calls or stop alarms using the fingerprint scanner.
8. Long Screenshot: You can take the normal screen shot by using volume down and power buttons or by using the screenshot toggle. Once you are done, you can select the scroll shot option, to take a long screen shot.

12. 3 Finger Screenshot: Once you enable this feature you can take a screenshot by just swiping down with 3 fingers.
13. Flip to Mute: This feature allows you to mute the Alarms or phone calls as soon as you flip the phone.
14. Ultra-Power Saving Mode: Once you turn this on, all the applications will be killed and only the selected applications will be available on screen. Unlike other phones, Honor allows you to choose few more applications than the basic ones. That’s good thing, as you can choose your favorite apps to be there.
15. Smart Resolution Mode: If you don’t want to use the battery saver mode or power saver mode, you can use this feature. Once you enable this, it will change the resolution of the screen depending on the task you’re doing. For regular tasks like calls and messages screen resolution goes down, while for games and videos, screen resolution goes up and thereby improving the battery life.
16. Battery Optimization: Usually many people complain about low battery life, without knowing what’s draining the battery on this phone. In this, with a simple click of a button you can make some changes to improve battery life. By the way, it disables sync so you won’t receive mails automatically, if you don’t want that to happen enable sync manually. It isn’t anything impressive, but it’s of great use for a basic user.
17. One Handed Mode: This phone has good form factor to hold in a single hand. But, using it with a single hand might not be convenient. So, this feature is useful to use the phone with a single hand.
18. Screen Recorder: You can start and stop screen recording by pressing the volume up and the power button at once. You can also use the toggle available in the notification bar.
19. Scheduled Power On/Off Mode: We can use this feature to set a timer to power on/off the phone.

23. Step-Count on Lock Screen: Once you enable this, it will display your step count on the lock screen.
24. Phone Manager: We can block internet access to apps over Wi-Fi and mobile data. We can block calls and messages by listing the contact details in this page. We can also choose to block all unknown numbers, or all strangers, that usually call over the internet. We can also block messages based on keywords. Which I think is a great built-in feature. We can also clear the RAM, do a virus scan, change permissions, themes, simple mode, SOS mode, can change display color temperature, etc.
25. Eye Comfort Mode: It’s just like the reading mode or night mode on other phones.
26. App Lock: You can lock your applications with a password or a fingerprint scanner, as it’s available in this phone.
27. File Safe: It’s just like Private Space on Mi phones. It can be used to secure your private files that you don’t want anyone to accidentally access.
